16. Parent Expectations & Support

At Ballet Images, we believe that a dancer’s success is a team effort between the dancer, instructors, and family. Parents and guardians play a key role in their child’s training experience. We ask that parents support their dancer and our studio community in the following ways:

Supportive Practices

● Ensure students arrive on time, properly dressed, and ready to dance.

● Encourage good attendance and communicate absences promptly.

● Label all shoes and personal items to avoid loss.

● Help students maintain healthy habits, including proper rest, nutrition, and hydration.

● Remain positive and patient as your child progresses—ballet is a long-term journey.

Communication & Boundaries

● Please schedule conferences with the Director for placement or class concerns.

● Avoid discussing sensitive issues with teachers between or during classes.

● Follow our studio communication channels (email, website, social media) for updates.

Studio Involvement

● Opportunities for volunteering include assisting backstage, costume preparation, fundraising, and studio events.

● Parent involvement is appreciated and helps foster a strong, supportive community.

We ask all families to respect the professional learning environment we work hard to maintain. Thank you for partnering with us in your child’s dance education.

While ballet lessons should be enjoyable, they do require hard work, as does any learning experience. As a parent, your attitude and expectations regarding your child’s dance education will be reflected by your child. The study of ballet not only teaches the technique of ballet but also an appreciation for dance, music and the arts which will enrich your child’s life. Along with musical rhythms and co-ordination it teaches self-expression, responsibility, and discipline. All of which are fine attributes with which to start life’s journey
