Education

As defined in our mission statement, promoting the arts through classical ballet education is one of our goals. We provide classical ballet instruction in a warm and nurturing environment with training opportunities for both the recreational and professional bound dancer. We strive to instill artistic values and creativity as well as technical skills and encourage people to dance regardless of age, body type or ability level. 

While training at Ballet Images, the student is taught through but not limited to the Cecchetti system of ballet. The Cecchetti system of ballet builds strength, with the body being in its most natural alignment. This training combined with the various performance opportunities available through Ballet Images provides a “complete” dance education of the highest quality. 

Arts education makes a tremendous impact on the developmental growth of every child. It strengthens student problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, adding to overall academic achievement and school success. Research shows that young people who participate in the arts are:

• more likely to be recognized for academic achievement 
• more likely to be elected to class office
• more likely to participate in math and science fairs
• more likely to win an award for school attendance
• more likely to win an award for writing an essay or poem

In addition, young arts participants as compared with their peers are more likely to:

• Read for pleasure
• Participate in youth groups
• Perform community service
